It's recruiting brainfood for the week ahead

Hey Everybody,
Welcome to Issue No38 of On Hiring! We have a massive issue for you this week, but I simply couldn’t reduce the number of recommended posts from the 16 listed today. We’re leading with a 3 posts on Google for Jobs, all of which I recommend you review before the start of the week. As recruiters or hirers, this is stuff that you simply have to know.

Don’t forget to also check out the usual smorgasboard of sourcing hacks (good one on unlimited LinkedIn Inmails), tech recruiting resources, some cool articles of data science, interview techniques, and the usual controversies around culture, engagement and D&I.

Finally, especial thanks to OH subscribers Anna Fishmann, Bas van de Hatern, Chris Raw and Andrew Stetsenko. Your shout outs on LinkedIn last week has pushed us close to 800 subscribers - up 200 from last month. We’re motoring folks!

There’s only one event to think about this week - it’s RecFest2017! Hosted by Jamie, Lois and Bobby Leonard of the awesome The Recruitment Events Company, this is an all day food and drink festival with 800+ in-house recruiters / HR managers. Few companies could pull off an event like this and I promise you, it’s going to be a cracker. At Street Feast, Hawker House, Canada Street, London SE16 7PJ. Tickets are sold out but there’s a waitlist that’s worth signing up for. Give me a shout if you’re there!
