Recruitingbrainfood.com We finally have a website! Actually, I’ve just bought the domain recruitingbrainfood.com and set up a redirect, but it will do for now. I’ll do something properly with this soon but it’s still going to be useful straight away for two reasons:
1. Archived content You can now view all 35 issues of On Hiring by visitingrecruitingbrainfood.com. All the content shared will be collected here, so there’ll be hundreds of articles, research papers, cool tools and the rest of the content on that domain.
2. Easier distribution A lot of you have been asking how you can help with the newsletter – now you can! Instead of a weird revue link that no-one is going to remember, you can now refer people tohttps://recruitingbrainfood.comand they’ll hit the archive page on which they can sign up.

Anyone else heard of this service? New one for me, but it’s a collection of interesting ideas based around anonymity. One of the features is send anonymous postcards to your boss. Inspired from PostSecret and Whisper, I think. We can think of this as a tool for radical feedback. COOL TOOL

For those wondering why I get excited by blockchain tech applied to the world of work, here is the reason why. It promises a fundamental transformation of our relationship with labour, value, organisation and production. The McKinsey Global Institute examines all the ways people are earning income, as well as the challenges independent work presents. It touches on but fails to name, the two types of ‘gig worker’ – the privileged and the precarious. RESEARCH
Turns out, it’s all about the money folks. Interesting survey which tracks reports of happiness and life satisfaction mapped to average national income. From this data, it’s obvious we need trade. It just also needs to come with a fairer means of equitably distributing the wealth that comes from it. RESEARCH
